Innate was founded by Calum Clark following a 14-year career as a professional rugby union player. During this time he played for Leeds, Northampton Saints, Saracens and England, winning 3 premiership titles and 2 European cups.
Alongside these successes, he also experienced a number of challenges, including career-threatening injuries, lengthy playing bans, and a number of off-field, personal issues. It was during these times that he experienced a lack of the professional expertise, support, and guidance required to navigate them successfully.
This prompted him to study a Psychology MSc at the University of East London. He has since completed a second Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, becoming an accredited coach with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
Since retiring in 2021, Calum has gained valuable experience applying his skills, knowledge, and training within the Saracens organisation, most recently in the position of Head of Psychological Performance. His work made a valuable contribution to the club's 2023 premiership title-winning campaign, with a number of his clients going on to excel at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
He has since left the Saracens organisation in order to broaden the scope and application of his work, enabling high performing people from all industries and sectors to benefit from the transformative power of psychology.
